A manufacturer of machine tools contracted us to perform the milling required to finish this large base frame. The weldment was composed of steel, the areas to be milled had dimensions of 125.50" in length, and 18.38" in width. Utilizing our 96" by 144" DeVlieg boring mill, we performed the mill profile, windows, and slots, as well as hole drilling and tapping.

This large precision capability allows us to satisfy the required .001" tolerances, as called out in the customers supplied engineering drawings.  To learn more about this project, or the processes used to machine it, see the table below or contact us directly.
